Martin Mural Works is a new business venture officially established in November of 2006. Martin Mural Works is primarly focused on custom mural work. In addition to murals, Martin Mural Works provides decorative and interior painting services.
I have over 20 years experience in the visual arts field. I've primarily performed graphic design services over the years but have painted numerous murals and interior walls for individuals and businesses as well.
Martin Mural Works goal is to assist businesses and individuals in the process of converting ordinary spaces into extraordinary ones. Whether you simply want to enhance the mood of a room by adding a distinctive color, want to add a decorative trim or wall texture to enhance a previously painted rooms ambiance, or desire a meticulously detailed mural, MMW can provide the knowledge and skills necessary to help you reach the proper solution, on-time and within budget.
I believe the most important requirment an artist must possess is enthusiasm. I've got that! Throw in a little creative thinking, some skill, a smidgen of pride in ones work, a pinch of stamina and really good things happen! I'll work exceptionally hard to help you obtain the results you desire.

I get a kick out of seeing how newly painted rooms change my perception of the space. I also enjoy watching others respond to a positive color change as well as decorative painting. It's especially neat to observe peoples reactions when they see how a once dull wall has been transformed into a work of art.
I draw my inspiration from muralist of the past, such as Michelangelo and Da Vinci. The Germanic countries where murals abound and where I had the good fortune to live for three years and regularily observed beautiful murals that have had a lasting impact on my psyche. As well as from the ancient Greeks and Romans who loved their murals and regarded decorative wall painting more highly than easel painting.
As a painter, I find solving the challenges presented by large surfaces extraordinarily rewarding. Hand-painted walls add exceptional beauty to rooms and they are quite refreshing. The human touch and random nature of a mural can help soften a room and make it feel more inviting. I find this to be especially true in rooms like kitchens and baths that often become over powered by manufactured appliances that are highly tooled and frequently austere and lacking in ornament. Murals can also create extra energy and excitement in a room. Either way, improving the way a room feels and knowing people are going to enjoy the time they spend in that space more is rewarding.
